Dip Dye How To: Ginger to Black cherry

***Disclaimer before we start I am in no way a expert or hair dresser so dip dye
with caution but I hope you still like this post***

1. Choose the correct dye. I chose the semi permanent 'super drug crème sensations' in 'Black cherry' I warn you that if you want this to last, don't go for a semi permanent because it doesn't take long to dull down and wash out.

2. Get ready. I'd say preparation is one of the key points, from everything to choosing the right dye to preparing the work space where your going to do it. I would suggest a bathroom or somewhere where there isn't anything around that could get stained or ruined. ALSO wear an old t-shirt and trousers even if you take precautions I still got dye on the top so don't wear anything you don't mind getting ruined. Also it will take longer than you think

3. Lay everything out. I put an old towel out on a workspace where I layed out anything I would need. I cut the tin foil up into the correct sized pieces as your hands can get messy and its a pain to do when you have dye on your hands.

4. Mix up the dye. Mix it up read the dye instructions first. I applied mine to damp towel dried hair that hadn't been conditioned the previous wash (this is meant to help the dye show up better)

5. Section off your hair. This is crucial as you don't just want to just apply it all in one go as it wont get through to every hair.

6. Section off the sections and start applying the dye. I used a tinting brush and simply squished a bit of dye on each section and made sure it was completely covered with the tinting brush. just make sure the dye goes on both sides and goes up to wear you want it. These are slightly different lengths so it blends better together.

7.Blend the ends up. This is good to do and will make the finished result look a lot better. this is also achieved by only do really small sections of hair at a time. What I suggest is to get the brush longways and make sure it's not one straight line as this wont look good.
Warning this took me about 2 hours so be prepared for how long it takes!!!

This is the finished result I love it and am so happy with it.

Dying my hair...

For a long time now I have really wanted to dye my hair. In the summer I'm planing do do something very bright. However right at this time I'm still at school and there are some very strict rules about dying hair.
I say strict because even though its an absolute no no, pretty much 65% of the pupils do have dyed hair of some sort.

As the title of my blog suggests I am a ginger, when I was younger I was very bright ginger however now its got a lot more dull. It is still ginger but has a much more brown tone to it.

I didn't want to dye my whole head on account of wanting to stay ginger and I wanted to dip dye it blonde but decided that would be a tad obvious if I walk into school half blonde so I decided to go a much darker slightly red colour. yay

I decided to do a semi permanent dye as it washes out in 28 washes and this will bring me nicely up to the Easter holidays where I thought a change would be nice. so after looking at many a different dyes online. I went to Superdrug and chose 'superdrug crème sensations' in 'Black cherry'  (which I didn't even see online)
Some thing I would mention is that buying hair dyes online is probably not the best option unless you know exactly what you want (e.g. have used that colour before) but I think going to the shop and seeing the colours in person is a good idea. You wouldn't want to be disappointed when it arrived. And you want to get the correct shade you had in mind or even just to have a browse at all the colours.

In the random things it says about the product it says 'conditioning colour with supurb shine and no ammonia' it also says with keratin and how it is super easy to use. I'll get back to you and show you the results.

QOTD: have you dyed you hair if so what colours? Also have you ever used the superdrug dye?

Makeup Haul

So I may have gone into Superdrug and I may have found the reduced make-up items and I may have bought a few... so with that in mind here is a mini make-up haul for you.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss - 170 Coral Reef - Superdrug
A super pretty coral/pink colour and it has a non sticky formula so it is really nice.

Gosh Velvet touch waterproof eye liner - 016 Classic Grey - Superdrug
This eye liner is so super creamy and it goes on so well that I would definatly go
back and get more, especially as it is so pigmented.

MUA nail polish - Plum Noir - Superdrug
This is a really pigmented nail polish and it glides on so nicely.

Gosh Intense eye liner pen - 02 Grey - Superdrug
This eye liner goes on really well and the felt tip top makes its easy to apply
(plus grey is a more subtle colour)

Calvin Klein eye shadow creme - Sheer Nectar - Poundland
I love this because its a really nice shimmery brown colour and you can wear it blended in so
its softer or if you want it darker you just done blend as much.

So i hope you liked these products and if you want a full review with pictures of me wearing them just ask. See you soon.

QOTD: Do you have any of these products? What do you think of them?

May Favourites:

I know very well that both loads of other people and myself say every month "wow this month has gone past by so quickly" But again I really mean it.

I feel as though this month I've both tried a lot of things. And bought a lot and I guess it's time to tell you my favourites. So here we go =]

I went into Primark and at the till I found this. I love the colour and I think it's a good colour for a neon blue as I haven't seen many neon blues around.
Angelica nail colour -Ibiza summer-  £2.50

from the brand MUA (exclusive to superdrug) I picked up this glitter liquid eye liner. I have been loving it as it dries quite quickly so you don't get glitter all over your eye but it doesn't flake of to look yucky. This gives a nice amount of glitter. It has a nice wand that is flexible and bends to your eye? and I've really been liking it.

Don't judge me I did buy this in Poundland but who cares. It's in date and I haven't seen it in any shop. I love this mascara and feel sad that I don't know where to buy it again. Most mascaras that say 'volume' clump all your lashes together and just look awful but this seems to make my lashes look longer and just more full and i think it makes my face look happier. I dunno it just does.

I have loved this glitter top coat it gives a nice amount of glitter that lets the underneath colour show through.
Miss Sporty Sparkle touch -Glitter ball (I think) -  £2.99

And in TV I have really been loving the apprentice... I have to confess that the apprentice is defiantly one of my favourite shows on TV even though I know a lot of people don't like it. Not only has the new series started but I've been loving watching old episodes too (ones that at the time they were on I was too young).
I love seeing how its changed and how people have changed.

QOTD: What products have you been loving? Have you tried any of these? What do you think about them?
