Every shade of the rainbow?

The last few months my hair has been a rainbow... quite literally and I thought I'd share it with you....
In the beginning it was natural
then as you've already seen it was 'Black cherry'
Then I bleached 3/4 of it so it was blonde
I dyed streaks of pink, purple, turquoise, and blue
Then I went all out and dyed 90% of the blonde colourful
And this was it dryed
The multi pastel colours after it started to wash out
the awful green/light turquoise it was as the turquoise would not wash out
The underneath was pink
The underneath was purple
Top was all bright pink and the underneath was purple
I decided to cut off 6 inches and it was still pink on top and purple underneath
More of a pastel pink and purple as it washes out

dark red/brown

Should I start making youtube videos?

For a seriously long time now I have been seriously considering the idea of making youtube videos. I realise this may sound a bit random or odd to some of you, but it's something that I really want to do and have wanted to for a long time.
Being honest with you (as I feel as though I can trust you) but I don't know what stopped me in the past.
I made them once before and everyone at my old school just didn't understand and basically were really rude about it and I lost my nerve and took them down.

When I think about what's stopping me now I think that has a lot to do with it, I get really almost upset thinking back on it now about how I let silly people get to me yet I'm slightly worried incase I do it again.
I wouldn't be doing it for anyone only because its something I'm passionate about and something I really want to do and think I should just go for it.
for anyone that's wondering my youtube name is also aliceisaginger and I would post a mix of all different things from hauls, to reviews, to rants, to fail stories, to just make videos about whatever I think is right for me and whatever I find fun.

I'm making this just to inform you and to ask you about your ideas. Do you think I should? I really need your help with this one. I will definitely carry on this blog alongside my channel and I'd love you all to go over and have a look if I do decide.to go ahead (I will let you know if I do)
Anyway I'd love to hear your thoughts on it and if I should. Thank you always Alice xxx

Dip Dye How To: Ginger to Black cherry

***Disclaimer before we start I am in no way a expert or hair dresser so dip dye
with caution but I hope you still like this post***

1. Choose the correct dye. I chose the semi permanent 'super drug crème sensations' in 'Black cherry' I warn you that if you want this to last, don't go for a semi permanent because it doesn't take long to dull down and wash out.

2. Get ready. I'd say preparation is one of the key points, from everything to choosing the right dye to preparing the work space where your going to do it. I would suggest a bathroom or somewhere where there isn't anything around that could get stained or ruined. ALSO wear an old t-shirt and trousers even if you take precautions I still got dye on the top so don't wear anything you don't mind getting ruined. Also it will take longer than you think

3. Lay everything out. I put an old towel out on a workspace where I layed out anything I would need. I cut the tin foil up into the correct sized pieces as your hands can get messy and its a pain to do when you have dye on your hands.

4. Mix up the dye. Mix it up read the dye instructions first. I applied mine to damp towel dried hair that hadn't been conditioned the previous wash (this is meant to help the dye show up better)

5. Section off your hair. This is crucial as you don't just want to just apply it all in one go as it wont get through to every hair.

6. Section off the sections and start applying the dye. I used a tinting brush and simply squished a bit of dye on each section and made sure it was completely covered with the tinting brush. just make sure the dye goes on both sides and goes up to wear you want it. These are slightly different lengths so it blends better together.

7.Blend the ends up. This is good to do and will make the finished result look a lot better. this is also achieved by only do really small sections of hair at a time. What I suggest is to get the brush longways and make sure it's not one straight line as this wont look good.
Warning this took me about 2 hours so be prepared for how long it takes!!!

This is the finished result I love it and am so happy with it.

QOTD: Have you dyed your hair? Got any advice for next time? Do you like posts like this?

Dying my hair...

For a long time now I have really wanted to dye my hair. In the summer I'm planing do do something very bright. However right at this time I'm still at school and there are some very strict rules about dying hair.
I say strict because even though its an absolute no no, pretty much 65% of the pupils do have dyed hair of some sort.

As the title of my blog suggests I am a ginger, when I was younger I was very bright ginger however now its got a lot more dull. It is still ginger but has a much more brown tone to it.

I didn't want to dye my whole head on account of wanting to stay ginger and I wanted to dip dye it blonde but decided that would be a tad obvious if I walk into school half blonde so I decided to go a much darker slightly red colour. yay

I decided to do a semi permanent dye as it washes out in 28 washes and this will bring me nicely up to the Easter holidays where I thought a change would be nice. so after looking at many a different dyes online. I went to Superdrug and chose 'superdrug crème sensations' in 'Black cherry'  (which I didn't even see online)
Some thing I would mention is that buying hair dyes online is probably not the best option unless you know exactly what you want (e.g. have used that colour before) but I think going to the shop and seeing the colours in person is a good idea. You wouldn't want to be disappointed when it arrived. And you want to get the correct shade you had in mind or even just to have a browse at all the colours.

In the random things it says about the product it says 'conditioning colour with supurb shine and no ammonia' it also says with keratin and how it is super easy to use. I'll get back to you and show you the results.

QOTD: have you dyed you hair if so what colours? Also have you ever used the superdrug dye?

New Hair Cut :'(

so last week (or was it two weeks ago time goes so quickly) I took a big step for me anyway. Having not cut my hair in about a year an a half I loved the length. It was long and to be honest it was feeling the strain with a lot of split ends. I thought it was needed.
To be honest although this is going to sound stupid I really didn't want too. although I wanted my hair to be more healthy I didn't want it any shorter but I thought id go for it.
I decided to get some layers cut into it and although I love it when its out because it looks a lot nicer. I absolutely hate it when its up :'( this makes me immensely sad as my everyday hairstyle was literally just throw it up into a high ponytail and it came down round my face and came down to way below my shoulders but now it only comes up to my shoulders and I feel like it looks really odd.

It's very hard to change my mind about things. and however much anyone said it was nice I still don't like it. however I have to tell myself that its only hair and mine does grow incredibly quickly. So I'm trying to keep it really well loved to make sure it grows fast.
I'm sorry this post was a bit random but I was just in the mood for a little rant about my hair. Anyway I hope you still liked it and please comment down below telling me any hair story you have to make me feel better . thanks xxx see you soon xxx

QOTD: When did you last get your hair cut? How long is your hair? Got any hair growing solutions?

HAPPY 2014

Wow what a strange thing to write...2014. And yet again I hear myself saying just how quickly this year has gone. This year is a big year for me and although I know alot if people say that but I mean it. With what seems to me to be a never ending list of things to cram into a year I don't know how it will all fit in.

To be honest in not usually a one for resolutions, I make vague ones to myself and have usually forgotten about them by march. But this year im determined...(wow that's commitment)

This year my resolution is to make sure I am ALWAYS SMILING this possibly is easier said than done but I am determined to make sure im always happy and this means both bot letting others bring me dine and not letting things around me pull me down.

I don't know how well this really is going to go as everyone has there down days but I feel positive going into 2014 and I think that makes all the difference.

So I will wish you luck  with whatever your resolutions are and I'd live to know what they are so leave a comment letting me know below. thanks for reading xxx

QOTD:What are your resolutions for 2014? What were they last year? How did you get on?

Primark Haul : Autumn/Winter 2013

So one of my favourite shops for clothes is Primark and I went in there a few days ago to see there new Autum/Winter collection and see what I could pick up for winter.

Makeup Haul

So I may have gone into Superdrug and I may have found the reduced make-up items and I may have bought a few... so with that in mind here is a mini make-up haul for you.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss - 170 Coral Reef - Superdrug
A super pretty coral/pink colour and it has a non sticky formula so it is really nice.

Gosh Velvet touch waterproof eye liner - 016 Classic Grey - Superdrug
This eye liner is so super creamy and it goes on so well that I would definatly go
back and get more, especially as it is so pigmented.

MUA nail polish - Plum Noir - Superdrug
This is a really pigmented nail polish and it glides on so nicely.

Gosh Intense eye liner pen - 02 Grey - Superdrug
This eye liner goes on really well and the felt tip top makes its easy to apply
(plus grey is a more subtle colour)

Calvin Klein eye shadow creme - Sheer Nectar - Poundland
I love this because its a really nice shimmery brown colour and you can wear it blended in so
its softer or if you want it darker you just done blend as much.

So i hope you liked these products and if you want a full review with pictures of me wearing them just ask. See you soon.

QOTD: Do you have any of these products? What do you think of them?
Do you want any of these products?

Aztec nail tutorial

*This is my first tutorial so I hope its ok*
I love to do my nails and when I found and easy yet effective way to make an aztec print I had to show you. so here it is the first in hopefully many nail tutorials.
I hope you like it but be sure to leave a comment below with ideas of what else I could do.

1. Find some colours 4-5 that will go nicely together. I like to pick groups e.g. neons, Pastels, pinks ect

2.You will also need a nail striper you can pick these up cheaply online (Ebay for example) or use a paint     brush, but you can also watch this video to make one here *This is not my video but it is very good*

3. Paint a white (or light) background colour
4. Paint stripes of Different colours across the nails. You don't have to make them all the same.
5. Use the nail striper to outline the lines.
6. Paint on designs in patters with striper e.g. lines, crosses, dots, even glitter ect... And I personally think they look better when they are different but its up to you.

QOTD: Will you try these nails? Any suggestions for other designs? Which is your favourite theme?

A Disney Costume: The Little Mermaid

So the other day in our school it was book day (I realise world book day was ages ago) but our school is weird. Anyway world book day is a day where everyone in school dresses up as a book character.

It's one of those days that you really see the people that put months worth of work into their costume and the people who chose what they want to wear and then match it to a book.

I have to admit I chose my costume the night before as I knew I wanted to wear normal/comfortable clothes as it was meant to be hot weather.

What I wore:
Maxi skirt - Primark
Purple top - Primark
Hair bow - Claire's accessories
Bracelet - Given to me by a friend
Necklace - Made by me (for the costume)
Blue nail polish - GOSH 'Gypsy Blue'
Glitter top coat - Models own 'Jack Frost'
Accent nail - Barry M 'Amethyst'
My cat tried to help but she wasn't very helpful

Personally I think this was quite good and I do think it looks like Ariel especially with my red hair.

QOTD: So what do you think? Who is your favourite Disney princess? What would you have gone as?

June Favourites

Wow this month has been VERY busy (as you will know if you have been keeping up with the 30 day snap) and that means I've not had too much time for different products but here they are so I hope you enjoy...

  1.  Color club nail polish in Reign in Spain.
I love this colour and it manages to be a pastel coral and a neon coral at the same time (What!!!????)
I love it and will be one of my summer faves,
which is weird because I don't normally go for oranges or pinks let alone coral.

2. Collection 2000 nail care 2in1 strengthener and hardener with calcium
Wow that is a long name. I have had this product for a while and this is my second bottle.
Recently my nails have been really sad and soft (because I don't really have too much calcium in my life).
I love this and because its clear I can wear it for school *whoo whoo*
It takes a week or so to work but it makes your nails stronger and that's always a bonus.

3. Daisy head band from Primark
This was £1.50 or £2 I forget but its so pretty and subtle for the summer.
If you don't want to wear a full head band of flowers this is a great hand band that is comfy and for such a great price why now get this for the summer.

4. Yes to carrot leave in conditioner
I have really enjoyed this over the past few months and I do believe it has actually helped my hair be less dry and it looks more happy. And who doesn't want happy hair for the summer. It was also pretty cheap as I bought it when it was on sale from ASOS.

I'm sorry there is only four products this month but I thought I would only add in the one's I have really been enjoying. not just put them in for no reason. hope you enjoyed...speak soon.

QOTD: What have you been enjoying this month? Any product suggestions? Any blogs I should read?
